Meet the team

Lisa Lowden 
Nursery Owner/Manager/Key Person

Following a 14-year period as a nanny for a family in Southwest London, I joined a nursery school in 2006. I became Manager after achieving a Diploma in Pre-School Practice (CACHE Level 3), and completing numerous courses as part of my own Continuous Personal Development.

In 2008 I opened Sunshine Nursery at Kitson Hall, Barnes initially as an afternoon session nursery. I then had the opportunity to move the nursery to our current premises in April 2013. I love working with children and enjoy the challenge of helping them to achieve their milestones and watching them grow and achieve in all they do.

My interests include reading, travel and jogging.

 My name is Kaya. 

I have 4 children and have been working as a nursery teacher for 22 years. I have been a teacher at Sunshine nursery for the past 7 years. Helping children reach their full potential has al aye been a passion of mine. Becoming the deputy manager has been a goal that I have now achieved.

 I have a Montessori qualification as well as an NVQ level 2&3 in childcare and a level 5 foundation degree in childcare management and social care.

I I am a mother of 2 children, both have been or present pupils of Sunshine Nursery. I joined the nursery team in 2021. I am enjoying helping the children llearn and fill their full potential while at Sunshine. No two days are the same, the nursery is filled with laughter and the children exploring their   surroundings and challenging themselves.

I I had the opportunity to join the nursery team, having been a parent first and the management team saw I had a natural gift with children, I have been working with children for a long time as a nanny and then was given this opportunity and took it. I have qualified along side working at the nursery.
I love watching the children develop into unique individuals while they are at Sunshine and helping them gain knowledge and the freedom to explore and think for themselves

"Our daughter absolutely loves to go to Sunshine Nursery every day. She has become a confident and very happy child since she joined about 24 months ago. Coming from a non-native English speaking family, our daughter’s knowledge of English was very limited when she joined, but it has enormously improved, thanks to the staff that are professional,friendly and genuinely caring people. We could not ask for anyone better to look after our child.
